Advanced Placement classes are designed for students ready for an increased level of rigor in their classes. The classes are taught at a fast pace and college level. All students who receive a C or higher in an AP class receive a GPA boost of one point. Students are encouraged to take the AP test for the corresponding class in May. If a student passes the test with a 3 or higher (check specific institution for pass requirements), they will receive college and high school credit for the class. If the student does not pass the test, they still receive high school credit.
The 2025 AP Exams will be administered in schools over two weeks in May: May 5–9 and May 12–16.
AP coordinators are responsible for notifying students when and where to report for the exams. Early testing or testing at times other than those published by College Board is not permitted under any circumstances. Late-testing dates are available if students cannot test during the first two full weeks of May.
